Our promise

We follow the Principles of Multicultural Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services of the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (USPRA) to guide our culturally competent services. These principles focus on the delivery of services and support in a culturally competent manner that incorporates a person’s culture as an integral part of recovery by:
- Recognizing that culture is a central part of recovery
- Engaging professionals in on-going development of cultural competencies
- Recognizing that a person’s worldview, ethnicity, and culture influence thought patterns and behaviors
- Mitigating the effects of discrimination associated with barriers to resources and opportunities
Meet the
Founders

Maloy is a veteran advocate and public speaker.
Donald Maloy, M.A., L.P.C., L.A.C.
Donald Maloy is the Chief Medical Officer at Healing By With Through, and has Licenses in Professional Counseling and Addictions Counseling with over a decade of work in both community mental health and addictions. Donald volunteers for several non-profits supporting efforts to establish a Peer Mentor Corp with access to resources and self-care. He has presented to and established Mental Health initiatives for police departments and community members in Adams County and has been a member of the Adams County Veterans Advisory Commission for the last three years.
Prior to his current employment Donald served on active duty for 10 years as an Army Officer. First, as an Infantry Officer leading a Combined Arms Platoon in Iraq, and finally as a Green Beret Commanding an ODA in Afghanistan and South America, and later an ODB responsible for all Special Operations in southern Afghanistan.
Donald graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Mexico in 1999, majoring in Biology and Psychology. He went on to graduate with a Master of Arts in forensic psychology from the University of Denver in 2004. Prior to joining the military Donald coached baseball at the High School, Jr. College, and NCAA level at Metro State College, worked as a Youth Counselor at Denver Children’s Home and in Federal Juvenile Detention, a Police Officer in Santa Fe, New Mexico, a Legislative Analyst in New Mexico and has over a decade of clinical work. Later, Donald was able to complete schools in leadership including Infantry Officer Basic Course, Ranger School, and Special Operations.
Donald currently focuses on God, Family, and Country through actively participating in his son’s life and volunteering at nonprofit.
